"Regression" To Star Emma Watson

Earlier this year, she took the breath away from film-goers with her performance in Russell Crowe's Noah. In August, we will see if she can continue to take the crowd's breath away when she joins veteran Ethan Hawke for the thriller Regression. It is the story of a father who is accused of a crime that he has no memory of committing. Fans will be able to check it out when it hits theaters on August 28.

"Lucy" Has A Big Friday And Morgan Freeman Remains A Top Star As A Result

The movie Lucy has brought in $17.1 million on one Friday. Now that's a success story! It's an action/sci-fi flick that stars Scarlett Johansson as well as a lesser known Korean star Min-sik Choi. The movie has also managed to keep another one of its stars highly relevant in a new era. The star, Morgan Freeman, is now well-past retirement age. Yet, he remains one of Hollywood's top names...and voices.

The Countdown To "Guardians of the Galaxy" Begins

August first is the date and fans of Marvel know well what it is the date for, the release of Guardians of the Galaxy! The film will star former pro-wrestler Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Chris Pratt and veteran Glenn Close. It will also star Zoe Saldana as "Gamora." The film will be a sci-fi adventure about an American pilot who finds himself as the object of a manhunt.

New Art Released For "Avengers" Sequel

In 2012, the film that seemed to stop every competitor in their tracks was The Avengers, a Marvel film that had an all-star cast, great effects, a great story and costumes. It was the blockbuster of the year and it begged for a sequel. Well, a sequel is coming. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be hitting theaters in May of next year. It will star Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans. Elizabeth Olson is also on-board for the movie. WIthout doubt, it will be another blockbuster.

Ingrid Bolso Berdal To Add To The Magic Of "Hercules"

One of the most talked about films of this summer is the new Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson flick Hercules. Johnson will, of course, play the mythical figure "Hercules." He is, without doubt, a near-perfect fit for the role. Johnson will be joined by a Norwegian actress who isn't the household name that he is. However, she will be a great addition to the production. Her name is Ingrid Bolso Berdal and she will be playing a character named "Atalanta."

Actress Angelina Jolie's career has been rejuvenated in recent months with her hit Maleficent. Fans of Jolie will note that she had been relatively inactive in the 2010s with only one major success of note that gave us true exposure to her work, Salt. Jolie was also a part of The Tourist and has even used her voice for Kung Fu Panda productions. However, her peak years appear to have been in the late 1990s and 2000s. That was when she gave us her performance as "Lara Croft" or roles in The Changeling, The Bone Collector or Beowulf.

"True Blood" Star Deborah Ann Woll's Growing Film Career

The star of the TV series "True Blood" who is said to be joining the cast of "Daredevil" is also becoming a bit of a film star. Their fans would want a good director to do justice to a documentary on their lives. Well, a good director has been named for the authorized biography about the band's rigorous world tour schedule. His name is Ron Howard and he has a production company named after John Lennon's song "Imagine." Oh yeah, he is also a TV, fim and directing legend.
