John Carter of Mars pulled forward to March 9th 2012 release

Walt Disney Pictures has pulled the release date to "John Carter of Mars" forward to March 9th 2012.

Direcot Andrew Stanton helmed the feature, which revolves around the War Vetran John Carter at a time when he uncovers a planet whose main inhabitants are 12-foot tall green barbarians.

Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Dejah Thoris, Princess of Helium, who is in desperate need of a hero.

Mark Strong, Taylor Kitsch, Willem Dafoe, Bryan Cranston, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Polly Walker and Thomas Haden Church star in the sci-fi epic. For more information check out Coming Soon.
