Actress Jan Hooks was a major player when she was a part of "Saturday Night Live" years ago. In fact, fans remember seeing her in seemingly every sketch. She was attractive, talneted and funny. In fact, she was quickly noticed by film-makers who asked her to appear in their movies.

Hooks was a part of the 1992 sequel to "Batman" titled "Batman Returns." Fans enjoyed seeing her alongside Danny DeVito and Michelle Pfeiffer. Hooks would also land a gig in a 1998 Ashley Judd comedy titled "Simon Burch."

Film fans remember seeing Hooks in other flicks such as "Jiminy Glick in Lalawood" as her famed character "Dixie Glick." She was also a part of that 1990s reboot of the old comedy sketch "The Coneheads." In the same year "The Coneheads" was released, she was a part of "A Dangerous Woman" with Debra Winger.

Hooks has died at the age of 57 in New York after a battle with serious illness.
