Cobie Smulders Heading Into "The Age of Ultron"

Actress Cobie Smulders will play "Maria Hill" in next year's much talked about sequel to the 2012 megahit The Avengers that will be known as The Avengers: Age of Ultron. This will be a major entry on her resume as we already know that it will be a hit. Also that year, she will join Guy Pearce for a film titled Results. Though little is known about what Results will be, we do know that it will let us see more of Smulders and that's a good thing.

New Art Released For "Avengers" Sequel

In 2012, the film that seemed to stop every competitor in their tracks was The Avengers, a Marvel film that had an all-star cast, great effects, a great story and costumes. It was the blockbuster of the year and it begged for a sequel. Well, a sequel is coming. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be hitting theaters in May of next year. It will star Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans. Elizabeth Olson is also on-board for the movie. WIthout doubt, it will be another blockbuster.

What We Know Is Next For Marvel Studios

As we have just reported, Marvel will be making a film version of "Ant-Man." Of course, Marvel has given us major money-makers such as "The Avengers," "Iron Man" or "Thor." It is also planning blockbusters-to-be such as "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" or "Guardians of the Galaxy." We are hearing reports that the group has shown interest in wooing Johnny Depp to star in its film "Doctor Strange." So, what else in store for Marvel in the future?

She's in her early 30s and fans recognize her for her roles in films such as "The Avengers" and "Walking Tall." Now Canadian actress Cobie Smulders is set to have a few years on major success. Yes, she will be a part of "The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron." Her character, Maria Hill, will also be seen in a new "Captain America" film to be released in 2014. We know wel that these will be hits. In a matter of weeks, she will join Vince Vaughn for "Delivery Man." This is a comedy that will win over a fan or two.

Elizabeth Olsen To Join "Avengers" Sequel?

It looks like Elizabeth Olsen will be a part of "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" in 2015. That's according to the guy who plays "Nick Fury," Samuel L. Jackson. Olsen will play the Scarlett Witch accodring to reports. This would have to rate as Olsen's biggest role.

James Spader Added To "Avengers" Sequel Cast

We now know who will play Ultron in the forthcoming "Avengers" sequel. James Spader has been hired for the role in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." This major news has fans excited about what they will see in the summer of 2015 when this highly anticpated sequel is released. It looks like this cast will become one of the greatest casts in film history. Spader joins Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olson, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Rufalo and Samuel L. Jackson.

More Robert Downey Jr. And More "Avengers" Films To Come

Robert Downey Jr. has signed for more films in the "The Avengers" franchise. This monster mega-hit wowed audiences last year. The sequels will likely be money-makers at the box office. 

We're told that "The Avengers 2" will be released in May of 2014. The third "Avengers" film is coming, but we don't have a release date for it yet. Fans are undoubtedly excited to see these films and the storyline will be a challenge for the writers. You see, the films from this franchise tend to be tough to top. So keep watching to see if they have good storylines.

No Hulk Spin-off For Now

Mark Ruffalo of "The Avengers" and "The Hulk" fame has said that there will be no spin-off for the "Hulk" at this point. He has said that there are no plans for a stand-alone film with "The Hulk" as the centerpiece. There are, however, plans for a sequel to "The Avengers." Ruffalo and his "Hulk" character will be a part of it too.

Ruffalo is signed to appear in a number of fortcomimg films including "Now You See Me" with Jesse Eisenberg and Michael Caine. He will also be a part of "Foxcatcher" with Channing Tatum.

Stunning visual effects reel for "The Avengers"

ILM has releasesd the visual effects reel for "The Avengers". The Oscar nominated effects were created by over 200 artists, scientists and engineers. Some of the effects were done by hand by, one frame at a time by Erik Dillinger. Check out ILM
